Youth Biennial | Art as a self-organised reality
As part of the Youth Biennale, the curatorial section “Ma lagano” brought together works by emerging artists exploring complex questions of gender, the body, and self-representation within contemporary social and political contexts. Loti Milošević exhibited her digital collages, among other participants, contributing to a dynamic dialogue between diverse artistic practices.
The exhibition encouraged active audience engagement, inviting visitors to experience the installation not as passive observers but as participants in the unfolding spatial and conceptual interactions of the artworks. This interactivity created a space where the audience could reflect on the ways art negotiates social norms, challenges stereotypes, and responds to moments of societal tension.
Following the exhibition, the audience took part in a discussion addressing the themes raised by the works, as well as broader questions about the role of art during periods of social unrest, protests, and public discourse. The works from this section were later exhibited alongside other curatorial sections in the Cvijeta Zuzorić Art Pavilion, presenting a comprehensive view of contemporary artistic practices engaged with the socio-political realities of today.
